This year our elves have been busy all over the UK. On their travels, they have seen many Quite Interesting sights. Since no self-respecting elf would be seen dead without a digital camera these days, they've also been preserving the best bits of their travels for posterity by taking a photo of their regulation QI Elf hat in a variety of locations.

Since the festive season is upon us, we at QI Towers thought it would be fun to put these photos into an advent calendar. To make it even more fun, we're also running a competition: just tell us where each of the elf hats is located. To make things a bit easier, we'll include a QI clue with each photo. Whoever can identify the most locations will win a QI goodie bag, whilst three runners up will receive their own official QI knitted elf hat (also useful for gnomes, imps, goblins, and sprites).

In the event of a tie, winners will be decided by drawing names from a hat (whether this hat will be knitted or not will be revealed when the time is right). So check back each day to see the latest photo and, in the fullness of time, we'll provide a page where you can submit your entries. The more perceptive among you will notice there are only 23 doors on our advent calendar. Just to make things a little more tricky, you'll have to guess which part of the calendar to click to find the 24th photo.

Oh, and please don't write in to lecture us about the incorrect start of advent. Yes, we know it actually started on the 27th November, but that would just make numbering the doors a little more confusing than it needs to be.
